St. Croix boasts one of the most dramatic wall dives in the world. Geologically, St. Croix is unique in the Lesser Antilles because it is the only island that was formed as a result of tectonic uplift rather than volcanism. Along the North Shore runs a subduction zone and the wall falling into the 6,000-foot deep oceanic trench begins at a mere 60 feet deep!
