Discover Diving with Scubawest!

Discover Scuba Diving is a very special PADI program designed for those who are not yet certified divers (and for those who may never be) who nevertheless would like to try out scuba diving. Participants (age 10 and higher) view a short instructional video after which the instructor presents a few basic skills and introduces basic scuba equipment. Then in confined shallow water, you and your instructor practice the skills until you feel comfortable and are ready to dive. Then, we dive!

Discover Scuba Diving allows almost anyone to experience the thrill and excitement of scuba diving in just a very short time. Once this program is completed, you may participate in subsequent dives under the supervision of a PADI professional. Should you decide to pursue certification as a PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver, you may apply completion of Discover Scuba Diving toward the performance requirements of those courses for up to one year!
